Marguerite Elizabeth Koncul

Marguerite Elizabeth Koncul, beloved mother, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012 at her residence with her fifteen loving children and other relatives by her side. She was a native and lifelong resident of Savannah, and was a communicant of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Martin J. Koncul, Sr., and her grandson, Lt. Stephen R. Nevarez, U.S.N.

Surviving are seven sons, Martin Kathy Koncul, Jr., Tony Maureen Koncul, Francis Brenda Koncul, Joseph Koncul, Michael Sheila Koncul, Stephen Celeste Koncul, and Vincent Michelle Koncul, eight daughters, Mary Ann Sunday, Margy Lee Privett, Catherine Koncul, Diana Maria Koncul, Camille Robert Wallden, Helena Koncul, Celi Glenn Tambon, and Therese Pat Sheehan. Also surviving are thirty-one grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Rosary Service will be 6:00 p.m. Monday, September 3, 2012 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, with visitation until 8:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.

Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery.

Remembrances may be made to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416, or the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, 222 E. Harris St., Savannah, GA 31401.

The Koncul family would like to thank the staff of Hospice Savannah and Linda Hymon for the loving care given to their mother.
